About Cayman

beaches

All public beaches in the Cayman Islands are regularly cleaned and show off the Islands powdery, white sand and clear turquoise sea, many surrounded by palm trees offering a beautiful back drop and a bit of shade from the almost constant sunshine. There are numerous activities available on the more popular beaches such as parasailing, snorkeling, jet skiing, peddle boats and wakeboarding, while many prefer a leisurely stroll watching the waves come in. Surfing and kite surfing are also available at some spots on the island.

Most of the Island beaches are located next to hotels or beach bars where you can buy food and drinks to help you enjoy another day in paradise. The slightly more remote beaches offer changing and restrooms, showers and, in some, playgrounds for the kids to enjoy and beach huts. A few also offer scenic walks across the Islands iron shore for the more active visitor.

On the largest of the three Islands, Grand Cayman, you can find the following public beaches:

• Seven Mile Beach  • Public Beach  • Spotts Beach  • Smith Cove
• West Bay Public Beach  • Cemetery Beach  • Rum Point  • East End Public Beach
• Heritage Beach • Cayman Kai
